Jesse Pickett is a Canadian writer/director/visual storyteller, born in Red Deer, AB. He has studied cinematography at the Calgary Society of Independent Film and Motion Picture Arts at Capilano University. During his four years at Capilano University, he attained a degree in Motion Picture Arts, his first poetry publications, and was the first ever recipient of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Film & Video Scholarship.
He is drawn to the science fiction genre and often chooses to approach the genre from a realistic perspective that foreshadows our own society. His work is deeply personal and touches on themes pertaining to family, trust, and loss.
